My telehealth practice (or online practice) is based in Redondo Beach, California–in Los Angeles. I am able to work with anyone physically located in the state of California at the time of their appointment(s).
For individual therapy, the fee is $185 per 50 minute session.
For couples therapy, the fee is $215 per 50 minute session.
I accept Aetna, Oxford, United Healthcare, and Oscar. Before getting started, we will still verify your insurance to ensure your mental health benefits are covered.
If you are looking to use a different insurance, I am happy to provide you with what’s called a “super bill” that you can submit to your provider for possible partial or full reimbursement. To get clarity on your specific plan’s coverage for out-of-network providers, I encourage you to call your insurance directly and inquire about mental healthcare benefits.
I offer a limited number of reduced-rate slots of $115. These sliding scale fees are reserved for clients who prove that financial constraints are a barrier for accessing mental healthcare services. Feel free to inquire if you fall within this category, to see if I have an opening at this time.
The process of online therapy works similarly to in-person therapy, except sessions are held via HIPAA-compliant video-conferencing. Research has shown that both modalities are effective, but there are common hesitations about virtual therapy and I am happy to discuss these with you objectively, in order to help you feel comfortable moving forward.
Clients tend to enjoy the flexibility and convenience of participating from their own space. It works best when you have a safe and quiet setting, so that you can give the session your full attention.
Finding a therapist can be an exhausting experience, in addition to being vulnerable. Even if my profile resonates with you, it can be helpful to take advantage of the free 15 minute phone consultation that I offer, in order for you to make sure I feel like a good fit for your unique needs. Text me, email me, or click here to schedule your consultation.
During our first few sessions, we will start getting to know you. We will dig into what’s concerning you now, the important experiences and relationships that have shaped you up until this point, and what you hope to work towards. This “intake process” provides a multidimensional picture of your unique self and ultimately informs how we can customize the therapy process to best suit your needs.
Typically, each session is 50 minutes in length
If planned in advance, sessions can be extended to 90 or 120 minutes.
There is no fixed length for the therapeutic process, as it is completely dependent on a variety of factors like goals, stressors, readiness, and personality. It might last a few weeks, months, or even years. Unlike other professions, a therapists’ ultimate goal is to lose a client, so to speak. It is my job to track your progress and ensure that we are meeting your needs and working towards your goals in order to “graduate”. This may happen relatively quickly or steadily over time. Sometimes, clients might find that they value the consistency that therapy brings to their lives and even after we meet initial goals, they choose to reformulate them and continue with self-work.
Life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, you can do so anytime via text message, email or voicemail, as long as you provide 24 hour or more notice.
If you cancel a session with less than 24 hours’ notice of the start time to your session or fail to show up for your session, you will be charged the full session fee.
In accordance with the No Surprise Act, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining costs of services and treatment. You may also request a Good Faith Estimate anytime during treatment. To learn more about the No Surprise Act and Good Faith Estimate please click here.
